We are exposed to so much of this nonsense. The western nation states could not win a war if their lives depended on it. All the money and technology in the world and they are not satisfied. War pigs.

This is all deliberately planned and propagated to keep us distracted from the lawlessness, corruption, and unrestrained greed among officials in government and big, multinational corporations, as they jointly collude to subvert the Constitution, thumb their nose at laws and equal justice, and flagrantly violate every long-established ethical and moral tradition in order to enrich themselves. War keeps the "hoi poloi" occupied and fearful.

I certainly agree that propaganda is used to distract us from the truth of situations, which when you think of it, historically seems to be its primary purpose.

"Propaganda is all about seizing your attention and your will. It turns out, though, that a few moments of distraction can actually enhance the effectiveness of some types of propaganda. Here's how distracting people can be as good as convincing them." https://gizmodo.com/how-to-distract-people-into-accepting-propaganda-1604794796

Yep. People tend to have short attention spans these days (maybe for a long time). Distractions that can grab and occupy their primary focus for even a short while can help them to forget the contradictions they had sensed in some recent prior propaganda, and they simply move on after the distraction is dissipated, tacitly "accepting" the false stories. The propaganda is then repeated which eventually makes it familiar and more comfortable to accept without pushback.

Exactly. In my opinion, all of the electronic gadgets, especially not "smart" phones which far too many people have come to attach to their bodies as if they are an appendage, are amplifying the alleged need for instant information and other gratification which truncates attention spans.

The sad truth is that in the "past" I would have believed this propaganda

"Military war"! This takes the dumb cake. If they'd added "of aggression" at the end it would have been even better. To me, this sort of language speaks of desperation and grasping for straws. They have been for a while now.
