"CEO of AstraZeneca gets knighted and says Vaccine concerns were Overblown" by NE
"Then chats to the WEF King about climate change"
Please read the Naked Emperor’s blog regarding yet another player being honoured. Note the conversation naturally shifts to the conflation of covid and climate once again.
When you pause to think about it and look, there have certainly been a lot of people connected to big pharma who have been awarded by the British honorary system.
CEO of AstraZeneca gets knighted and says Vaccine concerns were Overblown
Then chats to the WEF King about climate change
By NE - nakedemperor.substack.com • 16 December 2022
On Wednesday, Pascal Soriot, CEO of AstraZeneca was knighted by WEF King Charles III at Windsor Castle.
The AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine was approved for use in the UK on 30 December 2020. On 7 February, South Africa suspended the use of the vaccine because they said it provided minimal protection to young people. Was that the only reason?
By the beginning of March, various EU countries started suspending the use of the vaccine because of blood clots. However, they said no causal link with vaccination had been shown.
Fortunately, Full Fact were on the case to tell us that the vaccine hadn’t been banned, merely temporarily stopped whilst waiting for a review. However, reading the published material that was available, it was obvious to everyone why they had stopped using it.
On 11 March 2021, the European Medicines Agency said the vaccine wasn’t the cause of the observed clotting issues. A few days later the MHRA, in the UK, said the same thing and after a few more days the WHO repeated the same lines. In the meantime, shots kept going in arms.
It wasn’t until early April that the MHRA announced that the AstraZeneca vaccine wouldn’t be given to under 30s due to strengthening evidence of blood clots. Since then it has unceremoniously disappeared completely in the UK. Instead, it has been shipped off around the world and billions of doses have been administered.
One of the types of blood clots is known as a thrombo-embolic event and occurs together with low levels of platelets. Officially, in the UK, there have been 445 cases of this type of clot with a 18% fatality. 81 people died according to government statistics (including 7 - 18-29 yr olds, 10 - 30-39 yr olds, 17 - 40-49 yr olds, 21 - 50-59 yr olds, 11 - 60-69 yr olds and 15 - over 70s)
Up to 23 November 2022, looking at the Yellow Card reporting system, which is similar to the VAERS system in the US, there have been 246,866 reports of suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs) with the AstraZeneca vaccine. These reports include 874,912 suspected reactions (a single report may contain more than one symptom).
So, what did Mr. Soriot have to say about these ADRs and deaths after his knighting ceremony? According to the Inverness Courier, he said these concerns were “overblown by the media”. Tell that to the victim’s families and see if they think they are overblown, Mr. Soriot.
“Since then, new concerns have emerged with other vaccines - heart inflammation, etcetera.” Well that’s alright then, the more the merrier!
“All of those issues are extremely rare but of course when you vaccinate billions of people, you’re going to have a few issues.” I think Mr. Soriot needs a word with his PR team! Tip no 1 - don’t call people dying “a few issues”.
Now that Mr. Soriot has saved us from Covid, he is on to the next scam, climate change. After being knighted he discussed the issue with the WEF King. “Each time I meet the King we talk about forestry, we talk about climate change,” he said.
“I work with the King in the SMI (Sustainable Markets Initiative) on climate change and carbon reduction, so today I talked to him about our commitment to planting millions of trees in Rwanda and also Uganda.”
Let’s for one moment pretend that Covid was fairly lethal to young people and the AstraZeneca vaccine did a great job at saving all those young people who would have died. But, as Mr. Soriot says, with millions of people getting vaccinated, some will die. Even if that was the case, now is not the time to be knighting the CEO.
Now is not the time because on the same day Mr. Soriot was getting knighted another coroner recorded the death of a 27 year old man due to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Jack Last, 27, from Stowmarket, was vaccinated on 30 March 2021 and a week later was admitted to hospital after experiencing headaches and sickness.
A scan on 10 April revealed a cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) and he died 10 days later.
Senior coroner Nigel Parsley recorded a narrative conclusion at Suffolk Coroner's Court.
He said: "Jack Last died of a blood clot to the brain, caused as a direct result of his body's reaction to the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccination which he had received on March 30, 2021."
The hearing in Ipswich was told engineer Mr Last was otherwise a "fit and well" man.
There doesn’t seem to be any self-awareness with these people, firstly to even offer the knighthood at this point in time and secondly to accept it.
If I had done something, however great it was, that directly led to 81 deaths, I would be in jail but for others they get knighted instead.
And finally a polite request, this is an emotive topic but please don’t use any violent language in the comments below, we are better than that.
On the 21st of November 2021, Prince Charles officially opened AstraZeneca's new global research centre at Cambridge University.
According to the bastion of knowledge that is Wikipedia, Pascal Soriot was born in France and is an Australian citizen. He was appointed as the Chief Executive of AstraZeneca in August 2012.
This is an interesting tidbit about Soriot:
In September 2018, he made headlines commenting on his pay of £9.4m in salary and bonuses. 'The truth is I’m the lowest-paid CEO in the whole industry', he said. 'It is annoying to some extent. But at the end of the day it is what it is.'[1
Pôvre underpaid Pascal Soriot. My heart doesn’t break for him.
So how does the British honorary system work?
According to the undated article, Everything you need to know about nominating someone for a UK honour published by The Gazette, “Any British national or citizen of the 15 Commonwealth realms can be nominated for honours in the British honours system. This ensures that people who aren't in the public eye are recognised for service and contribution to their respective fields.”
It’s interesting to note that “anybody in the UK can make a recommendation for a British national to receive an honour.” Nominations can be made by email, post or online.
I find it rather interesting the number of players from the pharma industry who have and continue to receive honours. The following is an article published by Medscape UK, 1st January 2022.
Knighthoods for Chief Medical Officers in COVID Dominated New Year Honours
Peter Russell | 01 January 2022
Medical chiefs prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic have been recognised in the New Year Honours list.
England's chief medical officer (CMO), Prof Chris Whitty, and Wales' and Scotland's CMOs, Dr Frank Atherton, and Dr Gregor Smith, are to be knighted.
Prof Whitty has been a regular presence at Downing Street news conferences, briefing the public on the latest COVID situation with his familiar catchphrase, 'next slide, please'.
Dr Atherton had been "an exceptional visible and public leader" during the pandemic, while Dr Smith had encouraged "a broader focus to confront the consequences of the pandemic", including "a more sustainable healthcare system".

Also given a knighthood, is deputy CMO for England, Jonathan Van-Tam, who established a role for using football analogies to explain the risks of SARS-CoV-2 and for promoting vaccine take-up.
'Exceptional Leadership'
Sir Patrick Vallance, who was knighted in the 2019 New Year Honours list, is elevated to Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath for "exceptional leadership" during the pandemic, including formation of the Vaccines Task Force.
Dr Jenny Harries OBE, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency, receives a Damehood, for her role in protecting public health, including devising and implementing the clinical shielding policy to protect the clinically vulnerable from COVID.
There is also a Damehoods for Emily Lawson, former chief commercial officer at NHS England and NHS Improvement, for her contribution to the COVID vaccine rollout. She created and led the NHS operation delivering the first COVID vaccination outside a clinical trial in the world and demonstrated a "relentless focus" on delivering vaccines to people most at risk.
There is a Damehood also for Dr June Raine, chief executive of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The citation said, "Decisions taken by her ensured that MHRA's laboratories operated through the pandemic carrying out vital work on the COVID-19 virus."
Among other recipients of Honours in the fields of medicine and health are:
Sir Paul Nurse, founder of the Francis Crick Institute, appointed a Companion of Honour for "major and sustained contributions to science, society, and medicine in the UK and internationally, as a geneticist and cell biologist"
Madelaine 'Maddy' McTernan, director general of the Vaccines Taskforce for services to the COVID-19 response (Companion of the Bath)
Prof Helen Jayne Stokes-Lampard, chair of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and chair of the National Academy of Social Prescribing, receives a Damehood for services to general practice (Dame Commander)
Prof Ajay Kumar Lord Kakkar, a professor of surgery at the University of London and a peer on the House of Lords, receives a KBE for services to healthcare and public service
Prof John Hardy of University College London (UCL), knighted for his research of neurodegenerative disease and contribution to developing breakthrough therapies for dementia
Prof Shakeel Ahmed Qureshi, professor of Paediatric Cardiology at Guy's ant St Thomas' Hospital Foundation Trust (knighthood)
Professor Russell Viner, former president of RCPCH, and professor of Adolescent Health at the UCL Institute of Child Health, receives a CBE for services tochild and adolescent health, particularly during COVID-19
Prof Jonathan Richard Benger, chief medical officer, NHS Digital (CBE)
Prof Mark Radford, chief nurse at Health Education England (CBE)
Peter Openshaw, professor of experimental medicine and proconsul at Imperial College London for services to medicine and immunology (CBE)
Kamlesh Khunti, professor of primary care diabetes and vascular medicine at the University of Leicester (CBE)
Prof John Forsythe, medical director, Organ Donation and Transplantation, NHS Blood and Transplant (OBE)
Honours Among Vaccine Manufacturers
Among those honoured in the New Year 2022 Overseas and International Honours List are for achievements made by British nationals who have supported the global fight against COVID are Rod McKenzie, the chief development officer at Pfizer, Sean Marrett, chief business and commercial officer at BioNtech, and Melanie Ivarrson, the chief development officer at Moderna for their services to support vaccine development and distribution.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: "The honours are an opportunity for us to thank them, as a country, for their dedication and outstanding contribution."
There is also of course Wellcome Trust director Sir Jeremy Farrar who, along with Wellcome Trust Deputy Chair of their Board of Governors, Mike Ferguson both received knighthoods in the January 2019 New Years Honours.
As we know, recently appointed by Tedros as the WHO's Chief Scientist, Farrar was at the forefront of the covid agenda, communicating with Fauci et al and a member of the UK’s SAGE committee which advised the UK government.
Imagine how long the list of characters would be if one were to compile one from say the year 2000 until the present.
With Charles in charge, I imagine that the "honours" given to global players for implementing the big pharma and "climate change" agendas will likely greatly expand.
This is the sort of honouring these people deserve:
